After years of anticipation, Naughty Dog has revealed its latest game, and it’s not The Last of Us: Part III or Uncharted 5. Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a brand new I.P. from the legendary game studio that has provided players with phenomenal narratives, wonderful acting, and intense combat.
Unlike the globe-trotting treasure hunt of Uncharted or the post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is set in outer space. Leading Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is Jordan A. Mun played by Tati Gabrielle, who starred as Jo Braddock in the live-action Uncharted adaptation and is set to star as Jade in Mortal Kombat 2. Based on an image seen on a screen, players have also speculated that Kumail Nanjiani is also a part of what should be a star-studded cast.

On the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog says, “Beyond that, we’re keeping everything about the story under wraps – at least for now. What we can tell you is that this game lives up to the Naughty Dog tradition of creating an emotional, character-driven epic journey. Our narrative goals are rivaled only by our gameplay ambitions.” Naughty Dog continues, “This will be the deepest gameplay in Naughty Dog’s history, taking our learnings from our previous franchises and pushing them beyond anything we’ve ever done before.”
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will be directed by Neil Druckmann and will feature a score by duo Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, which is sure to be a widely different soundtrack that Naughty Dog fans have been used to.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is currently in development for PlayStation 5. No release window was announced, so it may be some time before players can experience the next great story from Naughty Dog. Until then, Naughty Dog has also announced The Last of Us: Part II Remastered is coming to PC on Apr. 3, 2025.
