You clearly love your pets, and so do we at Newsweek. That’s why every week we ask our readers to send in their favorite funny and adorable pet videos and pictures to take part in our weekly Newsweek Pet of the Week feature.

As we come to the end of the year, we are crowning Newsweek‘s Pet of the Year 2024—and we need your help.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen plenty of cats and dogs win the Pet of the Week title, but which one will be the Pet of the Year?

Your vote will decide the Newsweek Pet of the Year 2024. Take some time to revisit these pets’ hilarious and remarkable videos and pictures, and don’t forget to cast your vote.

George

Hailing from Bellevue, New England, George the 2-year-old Rottweiler is more than just a pet; he’s a mentor. George captured hearts when he helped his canine brother Charlie learn to swim, utilizing plenty of “big brother” instinct.

Bella and Marlee

A dynamic duo of Yorkshire terriers, this pair from New Jersey showed that teamwork really makes the dream work. In a hilarious video, puppy Bella helped her older companion Marlee open the safety gate so they can play together. Though Bella has since crossed the “rainbow bridge,” the video of the pair remains a favorite for their owner.

Franklin

From stray to superstar, Franklin was rescued from the streets of Brooklyn. Today he’s living his best life, sitting at the dinner table with his owners and sipping water from his own glass in a hilarious video.

Noah

Breaking down canine stereotypes, Noah the orange tabby has become a leash-walking legend in his local area. Rescued from a life outdoors, Noah has embraced safe adventures thanks to his custom “catio” and daily strolls.

MilliePi

This skateboard-riding rescue dog from Colorado wowed everyone with her talents. Starting as a playful pastime during snowy days, MilliePi’s skateboarding skills have since blossomed into a serious hobby.

Buddy

“Busy Buddy” from Illinois is a cat full of quirks and charm. His fascination with toilet paper led to the installation of his own bathroom roller—and a hilarious video that won him the Pet of the Week title.

Jack

Jack, the ginger kitten from California, thinks he’s a dog—and who’s going to tell him otherwise? Found near a mailbox, Jack quickly learned to walk on a leash and even perform tricks like rolling over.

Festivus

Named after the iconic Seinfeld alternate holiday, Festivus the rescue dog formed an unbreakable bond with his owner’s young granddaughter Ava. Festivus also loves car rides and family time, making him the perfect companion.

Me Meow

Who says cats don’t like water? Me Meow the Maine Coon had a penchant for showers. Sadly owner Marianne Dighton revealed that Me Meow has since passed away, but she fondly remembers his daily splash.

Cooper

The Aussiedor from Illinois redefined family dining when he started eating his meals at the table—just like his human family. Known for his expressive personality and desire to be included, Cooper has proven that sometimes all a pet wants is to be part of the pack.
